Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
D-Ribose is a
carbohydrate, a pentose sugar, used by all living cells and is an essential component in our body’s energy production.
It has many important roles in physiology, namely, it is a necessary substrate for synthesis of nucleotides, and it is part of the building blocks that form DNA and RNA molecules.
It appears from the literature and research data that it may be beneficial to individuals with congestive
heart failure and perhaps may offer some relief in those with
chronic fatigue syndrome or
fibromyalgia.
Ribose supplementation appears to be safe and as it does not cause glycation in vivo.
However, supplementation of it alone may not be sufficient to overcome fatigue. It is advisable to take multi-vitamins and multi-mineral medications to be more effective in this regard.
Kindly
consult Diabetologist for appropriate dosage before taking the same and do necessary follow-up as advised.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best and wish you good health.
