Is D&C Recommended For Left Over Tissues In Uterus After Having Abortion?

my last period started on 13th june 2015, after that i missed my periods.. i went to dr on 13th august 2015, she said i m pregnant. she gave me MFT kit. i used it and the next time when i went to her, she said there is a lot of tissue left in ur body. she advised me to take 3 dose of medicines. today again i went to her she said that 14mm thick tissue is still in ur body and so you need to go though DNC. still small clots are coming out. is it safe to go for DnC????? Plz guide me. i dont want to go for it and want some medicines to end it up.....

I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns....
Based upon the history you have provided if there are retained products of conception then you should undergo D and C. You should not be worry about it and its not a lengthy procedure.... But if these are not removed then there are fair chances of developing complications like sepsis... So a stitch in time saves nine...as far as the medications are concerned I don't think their efficacy in clearing these retained products at this stage......
