Is Delura Effective In The Treatment Of Breathing Difficulty?

Hi I have COPD. My doctor said I need oxygen. She also prescribed Delura to be taken with Spiriva. Since I started taking the Delura twice a day, I have not had to use the oxygen and am breathing better. Could this really be that effective? Maybe a short time thing?

Hello,

In COPD there is bronchoconstriction means narrowed contracted bronchi. Inflammation usually associated with COPD. The mentioned drug contain steroid which relieves inflammation and bronchodilator drug.

So it Can reduce symptoms drastically. Kindly check your arterial oxygen level for further work up. If dyspnea worsen and the spo2 level is low than oxygen might be needed.

You can Consult pulmonologist for detailed evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
