Hi, dexamethasone has long been used in preterm delivery for fetal lung maturation. Short term use of steroids are generally considered safe in pregnancy given that most steroids are FDA safety category B. However, just like with any medication in pregnancy, we decide if the benefits outweigh the risks and act accordingly. Hence, in your case dexamethasone should be considered.
