Is Dexolac Safe For A Baby?

Hello Doc, Our baby is born on Aug 1st and birth weight is 4Kgs. On 15th we had a check up done and found that his weight is 3.6 Kgs. Doctor has prescribed Dexolac (30 mg daily/once) now. Please advise me is it safe to give to a 19 days old baby and are there any side effects?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Breast milk is the best milk for the baby.
It is usual for the babies to lose weight during first 1-2 weeks.
I do not understand what for you want to introduce Dexolac .
At present your baby's weight is normal and definitely it will increase as the days pass by.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
