Hi, thanks for using Healthcare Magic.
I understand your concern.
There's a possibly moderate interaction when your sister took both of these drugs.
Diflucan (
fluconazole) may slow down how quickly your liver processes your
cholesterol medicine, then the amount of cholesterol medicine in her blood may increase and cause muscle damage.
What she should do about this interaction:
1. Let her treating doctor know that she is taking these medicines together.
2. Let her treating doctor know right away if she has any unexplained
muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (especially with a fever or unusual
tiredness). Her doctor already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
3. Make sure that she does not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
Take care.
