Is Duolin Better Than Asthalin For The Treatment Of Breathing Difficulty?
Hi..my daughter is 8 years old ..I nebulised her with asthalin respule at 5.30 in the evening but she wasn t better so I nebulised her with duolin around 9 pm..it s only been 3 hours and she s beeathjng heavily again at 12.am..what Should I do? What s the minimum gap between two nebulisation ? And what is a better option..duolin or asthalin?
From the symptoms and medications of your daughter it seems to be having an acute case of asthma, not subsiding completely with medication. As a doctor and more as an asthmatic I strongly suggest you to take her immediately to the ER, for oxygen therapy alongside nebuliser. That will help her with her deep breathing. Also doctors are better equipped to handle this kind of situation. Also the trigger and other underlying conditions can be looked for. That is of primary importance.
As per your 2nd question, between duolin and asthalin, duolin is slightly superior, as it has 2 different compounds working in different ways to control asthma. But most of the cases subside with just asthalin which has a single compound.
Hoping that your daughter gets normal soon enough.
I hope I have answered you query with adequate information. If you have any other queries feel free to ask.
Thanks again.
