She then prescribed duphaston daily once for 5 days. And said if am pregnant it won t effect pregnancy and if m not I will get periods soon after I m done with 5 day course of duphaston tablets. My question is what is duphaston tablet used for actually ? And also can I use this tablet for conceiving and regulating men s us.
Hello dear Understand your concern Your report suggests you have PCOs problem. In PCOS, hormonal imbalance/excess androgen, insulin resistance inhibit the ovulation cause missed period. Duphaston contain progesterone. It support the endometrial growth and when you stops to take, induce bleeding will be occur. If period will not occur then you have to start: Birth control pill, metformin and spironolactone to induce and regularize the period. Duphaston help to regularize the period and help in conceiving. But clomiphene citrate can be taken if fertility problem will occur in future. Reduce your weight if you are obese, take healthy diet and fresh fruits. Hope this may help you
