Hi Doc I am 6 weeks pregnant now and the doctor started me on Duphaston tablets 10 mg twice daily as in the early scan at about 4 weeks 6 days she spotted a black area near my sack ,which she presumed to be a blood spot or a fibroid. Ive been having cramps once in a while..taking Duphaston has caused me a lot of trouble in my sleep and i have gastric problems. I went to another doctor for a second opinion and when she did a scan everything is normal, but that doctor says i should continue Duphaston tab as i have already started.can i decrease the dose by 1 tab (10mg) daily? Please Help!
Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic.Well duphaston is usually prescribed to women who have history of miscarriage or those who are at risk of threatened abortion .Well if your ultrasound is normal now and u don't have any cramps and no vaginal spotting then u might can decrease it to 10 mg (once )a day, there should be no problem .Hope it helps, wish u a healthy pregnancy.
