PCOS is a very complex disorder in women. It does not only affect the reproductory system and menstruation. That is its one aspect. It is mainly related to Insulin insensitivity of the tissues. Its other aspects therefore are Diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disorders.
You have been put on Duphaston which is a retro-progesterone preparation. In fact after 10 days of Duphastone, the withdrawal bleeding should have been lesser. However, if it is not getting controlled, some other hormones will have to be given.
you need to undergo thorough investigations of hormonal levels before your medicines are chosen. If you could post the reports of the hormones and ultrasonography through direct question to me, I can go through them and suggest you more.
Till that please report to your Gynaecologist and get the brand and type of Progesterone changes which will control the bleeding. May be you will have to take Progesterone for 21 days initially.
I hope this should guide you properly.
