Is Endogest Or Duphaston Advisable At Six Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I am 6 weeks pregnant. I consulted two doctors because I was not sure about the first one so one doctor suggested to take endogest and second suggested to take duphaston. So is there any difference in these two medicines? Because I have read somewhere both works for the same thing. Please clarify in huge doubt. Main difference is duphaston is little expensive than endogest 300 sr
In my opinion, you are right, as both the drugs are from the same group of female hormone- progesterone. Therefore, their efficacy & unwanted side effects also are same. Though, each gynecologist may have a different preference or experience for a specific drug from this group, still, it is always good to adhere to the advice of your treating doctor. At this time, no comparative study is available for these both drugs, which may indicate superiority of one over the other.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
