Hi,Doctor. i have a skin problem at Scrotum surface for a long time,it's irritating and etching mostly on night time.when i consult a dermatologist,he advice to use Eumosone creme regularly, when i use this creme its works fine, but when i stop its use again the irritation, rough skin and etching are come back again. My question is..
1)is Eumosone right medicine for my problem? 2)is it harmfull for long time use?
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HealthcareMagic.
As per your query you have applied Eumosone cream for long time and presently you are experiencing rashes over scrotum after stopping it.
As per the findings you are telling it appears to be "Steroid dependence". It is quite common phenomenon where long term use of steroid leads to dependency if not applied. Topical steroid creams are potentially known to cause side effects on long term or injudicious use in form of thinning of skin and other side effects.
I suggest you to meet a dermatologist who can take off the steroidal side effects slowly with different medications. Do not apply Eumosone-M also as it contains the same steroid in it.
Take care.
