Flavoxate, will help to relieve dysuria and urinary urgency. It's a safe tablet for the above symptoms. It may alleviate the symptom that your daughter has, but the cause for dysuria (i.e pain while passing urine)should be found and treated.

Is Flavoxate Safe For A Child?
Hi, Flavoxate, will help to relieve dysuria and urinary urgency. It s a safe tablet for the above symptoms. It may alleviate the symptom that your daughter has, but the cause for dysuria (i.e pain while passing urine)should be found and treated. A common cause for dysuria in that age group is cystitis, urinary tract infection or sometimes renal stones. As urine culture is not available near to you, a urine routine test can be done, which will give us a lot more information. If any constipation or voiding dysfunction is there, that need to be sorted out and toilet training should be done if not yet trained. I would suggest you check the correct dosage of flavoxate for the child from your paediatrician. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Nirubhan Bharathy, Pediatrician
