Hi I am about to start taking the pills my Dr prescribed called methenamine md to prevent recurring UTIs. I am a bit disturbed by the fact that formaldehdye will be in my urinary system. Please let me know your views on this. many thanks adrianne YYYY@YYYY
The best preventive measure for recurrent UTI is to drink as much quantity of water as you can during 24 hours and maintain proper hygiene. For treatment Cotrimoxazole 160/800 mg - 12 hourly for 1-2 weeks, along with frequent water consumption.
