General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thankyou for contacting healthcare magic.
Gastroesophageal reflux can cause recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. For this, he must take these medicines regularly.
*Cap. Omeprazole 40mg once daily for a month.
*Tab. Maxolon 1 tablet thrice daily (to be taken half an hour before meals) for a month.
*Tab. Amoxicillin 500mg 1 tablet thrice a day for 1 week.
*Tab. Loratadine 10mg once daily for a month.
*Aspirin gargles to reduce inflammation- at least once a day.
Besides these medications, avoid oily, hot & spicy foods, do not take a heavy dinner especially after 8pm, do not go to bed immediately after taking meal & maintain your BMI in a normal range.
Be compliant to this treatment. Even if the symptoms subside continue taking the 1st 2 medicines for a month as advised and complete one month course.
Have a good day !
