Is Gynae CVP The Right Medicine For Irregular Periods?

Hi i am geeta age 45 suffering irregular period. Coming after 10-10 days from last 2 month.doctor suggested me take medicine gyne cvp . after taking this the whole night i was suffering with heavy flow. pls suggest me whether i should continue or stop.

I understand your concern.
Gynae CVP contains Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Menadione and Bioflavinoids.
It will help in improving the blood level in the body and general condition but may not help in treating actual cause for the problem. However, kindly continue the medications as suggested by the doctor.
Considering your age, the cause of irregular periods could be due to your closeness for attainment of menopause.
Kindly consult Gynecologist and get evaluated to find out what could be the cause for your problem.
The common causes for menorrhagia (heavy menstrual flow) and irregular menstruation at your age could be due to:
1. Hormonal imbalance.
2. Structural causes like fibroids or polyps.
3. Thyroid gland abnormalities.
By clinical examination, ultrasound scan and hormonal evaluation the underlying cause can be identified and treated.
