Is HIV Transmission Possible Through Kissing After A Root Canal Treatment?
Hi.. Thanks for the query.. Well, HIV transmission is possible if there is exposure with an infected individual with your blood directly.. There are less chances of HIV transmission if you are undergoing root canal treatment and the tooth is properly sealed.. However if your partner is infected in a very few cases saliva can also transmit infection.. Also if you are doubtful about your partner then why do you want to risk yourself to HIV infection.. You should make sure about it and if you still doubt better get her tested so that you do not risk yourself.. Hope this helps.. Take care! Regards. Dr.Honey Arora, Dentist.
