I just had my A1C test it was 9.8 I checked my sugar it was 383 dr put me on metformin in the morning it is 161 the lowest so far as so as my sugar drops below the morning numbers I start getting shaky and break out in a sweat and feel sick. Why do I get this way even though sugar is high
Hello dear Understand your concern Normal HbA1c value is less than 6 %. So your HB1Ac is very high alog with high blood sugar suggests diabetes melitus 2. You have to strictly follow the diabetologist advice to manage the blood sugar. Take medicine particularly at specific time and take your usual diet after that. Shaky feeling, breakout and felling sickness is due to glucose lowering effect of the metformin. So take proper diet after taking metformin. Do regular light exercise, avoid excessive sweets, oily and spicy foods. Take more salad, green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits. Hope this may help you
