Is H.pylori Infection A Life Threatening Disease?

I have hpylori which hasnt responded to 2 rounds of treatment. Ive had a gastric bypass 14 yrs ago and now im worried I have gastric cancer which the Dr said is no test for this. Its been about 5 months of unsucessful treatment but Ive had it about 1 yr. Is it likely I'll die from this?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Don't worry H.pylori infection is not dangerous for this you may have antibiotic course regimens with that it is completely curable.

To diagnose malignancy need upper GI endoscopy and biopsy or PET scan or lymph node biopsy etc.

So don't worry please consult your gastroentrologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
