Is Ibugesic Advisable To Treat Fever And Runny Nose In Infants?
My baby is 18 months, weighs about 11.2 kgs. He has a runny nose since last evening and fever fluctuating between 100-102. Babygesic not helping much. Should I give Ibugesic syrup 5ml 6hourly thrice a day? He doesn t have any other symptoms but loss of appetite, only on milk since yesterday
Understanding your concern. As per your query your baby have symptoms of fever and runny nose which is due to inflammation and blockage of sinuses.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and go for sinus endoscopy for visualization of sinuses. You should give Acetaminophen for fever at 15-20 mg/kg dose and you should give Maxtra syrup which is antihistaminic for runny nose. Yes you can give Ibugesic as well. Loss of appetite is due to associated viral illness.
