Is Irbesartan Safe To Take For High BP?
Went to the dr blood pressure 180/88 hadn t been in very long time he prescribed Losartan 100 potassium went 3 weeks later blood pressure 180/72 so he told me to finish the Losartan and then start on irbesartan 300 I m kinda worried about changing I have had no side effects

Your worry is genuine but i would say its better not to worry.
Irbesatan and losartan are same group of drugs. But in the recent trials the efficacy of irbesartan is found to be superior to losartan. Also the incidence of side effects are also less with irbesartan.
So there should not be any problem for you change/ switch your drug. If you have tolerated losartan then you shoukd no have problem with irbesartan.
