Is Isosorbide Dinitrate Effective In Treatment Of Erectile Dysfunction?
hai, i want to increase my penile erection.my father used to take iso sorbide di nitrate for angina. I came to know that it is a vasodilator. my friend told vasodilation is the mechanism behind penile erection. so I dissolved the tablet in water and applied over my penis. is there any harm in doing this? will it increase my erection?
Based on the history you have shared, nitrates usually cause venodilation and are often used to relieve angina as burden on heart is decreased as well as more time for heart to get it's oxygen etc. However not a recommended treatment for those who are not heart patients. Also that the mechanism you are mentioning is better achieved with sildenafil but should be used after doctors review.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
