Is Isotroin 20 Tablet Advisable For Acne On Face, Chest, Back And Scalp?

Hi! My brother had bad acne and was on isotroin20 tablets, which cleared his acne. I am 33 years old female and now m having the same problem of acne on my face, chest, back and scalp. He suggested to me try this same medicine. Can I take it this medicine without consulting with doctor? I read and researched a lot about this medicine and thinking it can work with my moderate acne and blemishes? Thankyou

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne on face, chest, back and scalp which occurs when there are hormonal changes, dandruff, hair follicle infection, stress and clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. Need not to worry at all. Isotroin 20 is a very effective and safe medication. I would suggest you to keep scalp moisturized with massage by olive oil and apply Adapelene gel over face, chest and back once at night. Apply antibacterial ointment topically such as betnovate. Avoid oily and fried food and make use of product containing benzoyl peroxide. Take Multivitamin supplements. Drink plenty of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course.
