Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Ketoconazole Application Safe For The Treatment Of Facial Dermatitis?
I was prescribed Ketoconazole 2% for facial dermatitis. I understand to avoid getting into eyes, nose, and mouth. Is medication appropriate for the face? My dermatologist prescribed a few other medications that were ineffective. The dermatitis is located around the eyebrows and forehead. This issue has been ongoing for several months. Your feedback is important. Thanks, Gregg.
Ketoconazole is an antifungal and very effective in treating seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp or face. I would advise you to go ahead and use it as per your dermatologist instructions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
