Is Ketoconazole Application Safe For The Treatment Of Facial Dermatitis?

I was prescribed Ketoconazole 2% for facial dermatitis. I understand to avoid getting into eyes, nose, and mouth. Is medication appropriate for the face? My dermatologist prescribed a few other medications that were ineffective. The dermatitis is located around the eyebrows and forehead. This issue has been ongoing for several months. Your feedback is important. Thanks, Gregg.
