Is L-Lysine Advisable While On L-Citrulline And L-Arginine?

I m already taking 5 grams of L-arginine, and 2.0 grams of L-citrullline per day before bed on an empty stomach.I want to add 4.5 grams of L-lysine to the mix. Are there any health issues to watch out for? I m 75 and in excellent health except for an inflamed Achilles tendon and sore calf muscle on the same leg. I m currently going to physical therapy for these problems. I m trying to improve my circulation and growth hormone production so I can get back to jogging. Many thanks for you assistance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Good to hear about your health. Hope your Achilles tendon and calf muscle gets better real soon.

L-lysine is not known to interact with L-arginine nor with L-citrulline causing any adverse effects. It can be considered safe to take these medications together.

However, it is wise to keep the treating doctor informed of the same before taking any new medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
