Is Lacto-Calamine Advisable For Black Spots Caused Due To Chicken Pox?
I am 40 yrs old and suffering from chicken pox since Monday. I have applied lacto calamine on my newly formed blisters and those didn t mature. some of them are became black now and dried there itself before complete it s cycle. My question is - is there any risk now or in future?
Hi. As per your case history of chickenpox, my treatment advice is - 1. It is a self limiting viral infection. Don't worry. 2. Continue applying calamine lotion on affected skin. 3. Calamine lotion will only give soothing effect, it won't remove the black spots. 4. Black spots left by chickenpox lesions will gradually subside on their own.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
