Is Levofloxacin And Niftran Advisable For Prostate Infection?

hi doctor I am having prostae infection for the last 10 days.nO URINE INFECTION.dOCTOR HAS SUGGESTED leoflox 500 for 15 days and then niftran100 for another 30 days as i am travelling to usa for two months.Please advise. may be it is chronic infection. basu gupta

As per my surgical experience, the fluoroquinolone (levoflox ) and nitrofurantoin prescribed to you are highly effective molecules in prostate infection covering a number of gram positive and negative organisms. Control of blood sugar is very vital to prevent further complications.Kindly continue the medications with plenty of liquids with avoidance of masturbation and intercourse till recovery.
