Is Levosalbutamol Inhaler Advisable For Common Cold And Flu?

Hi, is it better to use levosulbutamol inhaler instead of syrup in common cold and flu? My 7-month old daughter is precribed levoline syrup. Shall i use the inhaler form for my daughter for common cold? I choose to go for an influenza vaccination for my 7-month old daughter and will boost it every year. Will it do any real help for common cold and flu? Thank you.

I understand your concern.
Levolin syrup contains 'Levosalbutamol' as an active ingredient.
It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways.
Since your daughter is only 7 month old, it would be advisable to continue using syrup.
It may not recommended to use inhalers in such small children as its use is practically not suitable.
Instead, she can be given the same in the form of nebulization, if necessary.
