Is Levothyroxine The Right Medicine For Hypothyroidism?
My latest TSH level is 46. I have had hypothyroidism for 13 years so am already taking levothyroxine daily. My doctor called yesterday and asked me to come back and to see her as she referred my bloods back to the hospital due to the levels being so high. What could the high levels indicated?
levothyroxine is sufficient medicine for hypothyroidism. TSH levels may be high because the dose you are taking is not enough for you .stress factors ,infections alter the levels of TSH and it is better to do the test in the morning hours.
