When serum triglycerides and LDL cholesterol levels are high this is prescribed to lower them and this also improves HDL cholesterol which is protective for heart.in short this is given for dyslipidaemic patients as preventive medicine for heart attack. normally creatinine should be less than or equal to 1.0.your mom has high which occurs in dehydration or inadequate water intake; medications like ACE inhibitors, NSAIDs like aspirin and ibuprofen, chemotherapy drugs and others; strenuous exercise; chronic diseases like kidney disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and thyroid disorders; kidney problems; and excessive blood loss.It is better you consult your physician regarding the same who will do Bl-urea and other investigations if required and suggest treatment. she should take adequate water 8-10 glasses per day ,should control sugar through diet and exercise, to lower creatinine levels and improve over all health.
