Is Lipikind-F Advisable For High Cholesterol?

Hello Dr, Suffering from high choleserol - 250, trig- 257, hdl- 42, ldl- 157 vldl - 52, also have history of similar results of lipid profile from last 3-4 yrs, Family dr has prescribed Lipikind-f 10 mg tablet, my age is 42 with no other medical condition, should i start taking tablet or just try and control with diet and exercise.

I understand your concern.
Since your results of lipid profile is indicating an increase in levels of bad cholesterol levels, it is better to take the medication prescribed by your doctor. It certainly suggests a risk for coronary artery disease if they are not controlled back to normal levels.
Along with it, you also need take care of dieting and do regular exercise.
Kindly keep the lipid profile done once in 6 months to keep a check on its control.
