General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
It is unfortunate to know about your daughter's problem.

Sorry to inform you that there's no cure for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, but treatment can help to manage the symptoms and prevent further complications.

The main problems of muscle spasms and the pain arising from the joints usually respond to medications like Paracetamol with Codeine. Since codeine sometimes causes constipation, which may aggravate the existing constipation of the disease.

Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) like Celecoxib which does not cause acidity related stomach issues is also a preferred drug to relieve the pains.

Lyrica (Pregabalin) can be an alternative if the above medications do not relieve the pain.

Hope this answers your query.
Best regards.
