Is Marijuana Effective In The Treatment Of Nephrosis?

My son has nephrotic syndrome FSGS. He has been really sick latley but prior to this was in remission for almost a year after taking chlorambucil and smoking marijuana. When he stopped the marijuana his symptoms came back. Does marijuana really make a difference with nephrotic syndrome patients?

Marijuana smoking has not shown to help in treatment of nephrotic syndrome.Certain synthetic cannabinoid like tetrahydrocannabinoid have shown to help with nephritis in animal studies,but not in humans yet.
I strongly recommend that your son need to try to stop smoking marijuana ,as it can cause health problems,problems with concentration, and productivity and have social implications. I suggest that you need to consult your doctor for help and guidance.
Nephrotic syndrome is best treated with steroids.
