Is Meftal P Safe For The Treatment Of Fever In Infants?

Only having top feed since fever not eating Nything. Thank u.
It's not safe to give Meftal P for the infants. It’s common for some children to develop a fever after vaccination. It is usually mild and subsides in 2-3 days. So, you don't have to worry about it. Meftal P Suspension contains Mefenamic Acid which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It carries the risk of gastritis, bleeding and kidney problems in the long run.
Crocin (Paracetamol) can be given in the dose of 15 mg/kg/dose (maximum ceiling dose of 500 mg) every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100 F. It can also be given in the form of a rectal suppository. Along with Crocin, you can give her tepid sponging, proper hydration oral fluids, juice, etcetera.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
