General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
Meftal is a nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drug. It is also given to control high grade fever.
Your doctor has advised it for your child after examination it..also there is relief..so you should continue the drug.
Consult your doctor after the fever is fully controlled for further dosage/ discontinuation of the drug.
Don't give it on an empty stomach. Keep an eye on adverse effects like gastric disturbances, nausea, vomiting ..
Thanks.
