Is Meftal Is Advisable For Fever?

Hi Sir, My daughter having high fever , when i buy MEFTAL-P 60 ml in medical, the medical representative told MEFTAL is not for fever , it is for stomuck pain re-leaf, I was confused, so i bought both MEFTAL and Calpol, Is MEFTAL is advisable for fever ?

Meftal is the trade name for Mefenamic acid.
Mefenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to treat pain, including menstrual pain and it can be used to treat high fever.
Calpol is mild antipyretic drug which is used to lower down the body temperature but it is seen that in the cases of high fever, calpol alone is not sufficient.

If his fever is very high, first give crocin for 2 times every 6h. If the fever still persists, then switch over to Meftal P which will definitely work.

So to answer your query,Yes, Meftal is advisable for fever.
