Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Menogon contains Menotrophin, which is human menopausal gonadotrophin (HMG). One ampoule of this medication contains the equivalents of 75 IU FSH and 75 IU LH.
FSH (follicular stimulating hormone) and LH (lutenizing hormones) are both secreted by a tiny gland called the pituitary (found under the brain) to stimulate the ovaries to produce eggs. So HMG serves “imitate” the effects of these 2 hormones.
The dosage of HMG for the induction of follicle growth in women with either normal or low levels of LH and FSH in the blood varies according to the individual requirement.
The chances of fertilization would be definitely more if the ovulation has taken in time by these medication. However, conceiving would only happen when the fertilized egg is implanted in the
uterus and starts to grow from then on, which is dependent on many other factors. For this, you need to wait for your periods to be missed and take a urine
pregnancy test to find about its status.
You can confirm about it by clinical examination by consulting Gynecologist and by
ultrasound scan.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
