Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor , I am taking meprate tablet from the 11 the day to 26th of period .as advised by doctor and I m also taking met PCo care as I diagnosed with pcod.can meprate help to get pregnant during this time or it only regulate the menstrsual cycle
Meprate contain progesterone and it will help in both regularizing the period by correcting hormonal imbalance and help in getting pregnant. It will make the uterine environment favorable for implantation and support the pregnancy. You are also taking met PCO care. It decreases insulin resistance and induce the ovulation.
If the above does not respond then you can ask for Clomiphene citrate. It will induce the ovulation in 80% case and increase the chance of pregnancy. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise and reduce 10 to 12 % weight if you are obese. Take small frequent meal rather than large meal, take more fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar
