Hi,

Yes, Meprate tablet can be the right medicine to postpone the periods. Meprate (medroxyprogesterone) is a form of female sex progesterone commonly prescribed to regulate the menstrual cycles as well as to postpone the period. To postpone the period it should be taken 5 days before your expected period and then continued for as long as you wish to avoid bleeding. Once you stop taking the meprate tablet you will get withdrawal bleeding within 5 to 7 days. So, accordingly you can plan the dates for taking Meprate. If you are above 60 kg in weight, take 10 mg twice a day at least. If you weigh over 80 kg, 10 mg three times a day might be needed. Do not miss any dose, as it would result in bleeding. It can be safely taken for 10 days. It may cause irregular or heavier than normal period when you stop.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
