Is Metformin XR Better Than Glucophage In Treating Diabetes?
Which of these is the safest and best medication...Metformin XR, Glucophage XR, Glumetza or Fortament? The answer I m looking for is which of those will have the least amount of GI irritation and is also the safest? I recently read that many doctors do not recommend Metformin anymore, but I believe that was only Metformin - not Metformin XR. Also, b/c of the very unpleasant side effects like diareahha, nausea and vomiting, I m trying to find the least irritating one. THANK YOU. Oh, I was just diagnosed with mild Type 2 diabetes. Hello,
Glucophage and metformin are same contents. Extended-release preparations( XR) has got less chance for gastric side effects. You can take Glucophage XR which is regarded as safe.
