Is Methocarbamol Effective In The Treatment Of Severe Pain?

does Methocarbamol help Phantom pain ? I[m an 85 yt old woman, and had both legs amputated above the knees, 1 yr ago due to venous stasis ulcers,which after 3 yrs of various treatments, andsurgical scrapings; too much pain, and systemic infection.I opted for amputation. Thankyou.

I can understand your concern.
Methocarbamol is muscle relaxant, not a painkiller.
So I don't think it will be help in phantom limb pain.
Best treatment for phantom limb pain is pregabalin and tramadol.
So try these drugs if you have never taken them.
Since these are prescribed medications, you will need doctor 's prescription for these.
Don't worry, you will be alright. Methocarbamol will not help in your pain.
