Is Methotrexate Advisable For Pain In Upper Arm And Shoulder?

For two years i have been told i have RA--only muscles and connective involved, no joint pain. Now I am told it is not RA, but perhaps a myalgia of some sort brought on by an H1N1 flu shot. Still having upper arm and shoulder pain. Took myself off Methotrexate and arthrotec, seem to be reasonably alright with one motrin 200 mg daily. just finished a run of prednisone for a flare up of whatever i have. RF levels still higher than normal but not as high as onset of whatever this was. Almost completely debilitated at one point two years ago, unable to lift arms, walking difficult. Would you recommend staying on the methotrexate since it seems i have some kind of auto immune thing going on? It just has such bad side effects and i am more mobile now than i have been in two years

Ra factor is positive to indicate involvment of rhematoid arthritis. so it is sugested that test be repeated.other wise it is autoimune disorder. mostly steroid is indicated. simple myalgia is easily managible.
