Is Methylphenidate Right Substitute Of Adderall For A Child?
My son was taking adderall he is 5 years old but is having problems eating and falling sleep but is working at school, his doctor change the medication , he prescribe methylphenidate CD 20, my question is this one have the same effect that the adderall ?? About the focus???

I can understand your concern. Adderall consists of amphetamine and dextro-amphetamine. The drug is a long acting drug. Methylphenidate is also an amphetamine drug. On these basis of research studies both drugs have almost equal efficacy in controlling the symptoms of ADD. Both have almost safe efficacy in controlling the symptoms of inattention and in improving focus. So if his drugs has been changed then no need to fear, continue to give the drugs as per prescription.
