Is Methylprednisolone Effective In Treating Fungal Infection?
My elderly father was prescribed Methylprednisolone today for a terrible rash all over his body (result of reaction to keflex). It says about Methylprednisolone: Important information You should not use this medication if you have a fungal infection anywhere in your body. My father has fungus on his toe nails. Is that the same as a fungul infection?

your father has drug sensitiveness. could have started levocetrizine. now that he has been given steroid it has got many complication like inducing glaucoma and cataract. it is contraindicated in fungal infection. any way it is to be tapered. first the keflex is to be with drawan. consultthe physician who can decide about drug reaction and its alternative managment.
