Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I started being treated for PVC s about 7 years ago and the doctor started me out on 25mg of metoprolol and I did well on that for about 5 years. Then 2 years ago they increased it to 50mg and then about a years ago they increased it to 100mg. About the time that I was put on the 50mg dose I started to notice a loss in the hearing in both ears and then when I went to 100mg the hearing loss accelerated rapidly. Do you think that the metoprolol could be causing my hearing loss??? I am getting close to being deaf. Hearing aids help some but not much.
