Is Milk Thistle Safe To Be Taken While Treating Non-alcoholic Liver Cirrhosis?

My aunt is a diabetic and takes medications (not sure name(s). She was told she has non-alcoholic cirrhosis caused by a fatty liver. If she would start taking milk thistle for her liver, can it cause any problems with the medicatiions she is taking or make them less effective?

no sylimarin ios a very safe drug and yes she can take it twice daily ask her to take liv 52 ds once daily along with sylimarin
