Is Mirtazapine Safe To Take For Sleeplessness?
Hi I m currently taking 225mg of Effexor two tablets in morning and one evening. I have difficulty sleeping can i take Mirtazapine together to help me sleep? I have been put on Zopiclone and Zolpidem which do help me doze off but only for 4 hours or so. Many thanx for your help

Well, yes, it is quite safe by itself, but there is a potential problem with taking multiple antidepressants together called serotonin syndrome.
It is characterized by flushing, diarrhea, and confusion. IT can be prevented by not taking the two together.
