Is Misoprostol Advisable For Terminating The Pregnancy?

I was surpose to see my period on the 24th of Feb 2015, but no sign up till date, have been advice to swallow two tablet of misoprostol and insect the other tow tablet into my virginal by bed time. Please is the procedure the correct way to use misoprostol in terminating pregnancy. Thanks Geraldine

Dear patient
You should first confirm pregnancy by doing urine pregnancy test. Test kits are available over the counter and gives results within minutes. So get this done. If it's positive pregnancy is confirmed. There are many ways of termination of pregnancy. I would advise visit to expert gynecologist as it's risky and may lead to complications. Misoprostol is effective in termination and tab misoprostol 400 micro gram has to be inserted into vagina stat and repeated after 24 hours if required. This needs to be done under expert supervision.
