Is Moisturex Safe On Arms And Face?

Is it safe to use moisturex on arms and face. I got the cream for my son who is 12 years ols as he is having dry scaly skin on foot after foot corn treatment. Afterwards i used the leftover cream on my cracked heels. So i want to know whether it is safe for prolonged use

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of dry scaly skin which occurs due to blocked ducts of sebaceous glands . Dead skin and bacteria entrapped inside cause infection and the dark spots. I would suggest you to :-

- Wash your face and arms with face wash containing salicylic acid , which is very effective.

- Moisturex cream is safe to use in mild quantities.

- Apply kojic acid cream after washing your face .

- Exfoliate your skin twice a week with non comedogenic exfoliant .

- Apply vitamin C serum at night .

- Protect your skin from sun exposure .

If condition persist even after a month the consult dermatologist . Doctor may recommend techniques like laser therapy and dermabrasion for dark spots and prescribe antibiotics , retinoids and tretinoin.
