hi my son is 3 and half. He had cough so was given amoxicilline and clavulonic acid syrup with ventolin. But the cough still persisted so a blood test was done on 26-04-2015 which is as follows nuetroplils 17 % ; Eosinophils 13% ; Monocytes 10% ; basophils 00% ; Lymphocytes 70%; ESR 10mm/ist hr. he is precribed Hetrezan /benocide 3ml three times for 21 days. As this drug is not available other ped precribed Montair LC kid. My question is are these substitutes of each other? is it safe to give it to kids for this long? does it cause dependency or addiction that everytime the kid has this symptom we have to give this medication?
Hi, Montair LC kid is newer and better drug than the hetrezan/benocide. It is safe in kids and it doesn't cause any addiction. Hope this answers your question
